Children in Wales carries out a range of work relating to safeguarding and protecting children. This includes:

• Child Protection Representation - Children in Wales is represented on both the North and South Wales Child Protection Forums. We are also represented on the All Wales Child Protection Procedures Review Group which is involved in updating the All Wales Child Protection procedures and developing All Wales Child Protection Protocols

• Developing material relating to child protection – We have recently developed materials and information on producing child friendly materials for child protection agencies. Following a recent commission we are currently in the process of developing new materials on risk assessment in child protection.

• Child Protection Training - Children in Wales provides tailor-made introduction to child protection courses for a range of organisations. The child protection training is always tailored to the needs of the organisation concerned but will generally include basic awareness and raising and developing effective policy and procedures in organisations.
