Early Support
Early Support

Children in Wales is leading a partnership of voluntary organisations commissioned by the Welsh Assembly Government to roll out the Early Support Programme across Wales.

The Early Support Programme aims to improve the lives of children with additional needs and their families. It is specifically aimed at children aged 5 years or under.

The Programme has a range of resources and training that bring service providers together to work in partnership with the family to ensure both the child and the family’s requirements are met. The aim is to put parents at the centre of the planning process. The development of the Early Support resources and the training began in England. Early Support Wales has updated these resources,  made improvements where necessary and adapted them to fit the Welsh context.

More information is available on the Early Support Website
