‘Together 4 Rights’ Group
‘Together 4 Rights’ Group

‘Together 4 Rights’ (‘T4R’) is an all-Wales group of young disabled people aged 11-19.

‘T4R’ aims to give young disabled people from across Wales opportunities to:

  • Meet and have fun
  • Understand their rights
  • Raise issues of concern to them in their everyday lives
  • Have a voice in decisions affecting them and their peers
  • Build their capacity to enable them to participate in the decision making process

‘T4R’ works through youth groups and forums and holds regular events across Wales.

In addition, ‘T4R’ runs an exciting schools programme which aims to raise awareness amongst disabled children and young people of their rights as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).  The project aims to enable and support them to access their rights and have a say in decisions that affect them in Wales.

Contact e-mail: andrea.storer@childreninwales.org.uk. The ‘Together 4 Rights’ website is currently under development.

Children in Wales is a joint sponsor in the Reach the Heights project, supporting young people to gain skills for learning and employment through work experience and community based opportunities.
