A one-day course facilitated by Wise Kids

This hands-on training day is recommended for anyone working with children, young people and parents such as teachers, librarians, youth workers, community groups and social workers. The day will give professionals an awareness of new media, the internet and mobile technologies.

This course will include:

  • An introduction to internet technologies like blogs, wikis, voip, RSS feeds, social networking sites etc
  • Exploring how young people are using some of these technologies
  • Helping professionals to better understand the positive opportunities presented by these technologies
  • An understanding of the online risks faced by young people and help them understand and manage key internet safety issues
  • Providing resources and strategies to ensure that delegates better manage their own and their young people’s personal security online
