A two-day course facilitated by YoungMinds

This training course is aimed at professionals working with children and young people in various settings, and who wish to develop their knowledge and skills in respect of self harm.

This course will explore:

  • Definitions of self harm
  • Feelings associated with self harming behaviour
  • Facts and figures on the prevalence and incidence of self harm
  • Knowing when to get help
  • How to positively manage self harming behaviour
  • The development of strategies to manage the reality of working with people who self harm
  • Working towards safer coping mechanisms 11 & 12 March 2010, Neath
